Frequently Asked Questions

Vibe Drive vibratory drivers harness your excavator’s hydraulic energy through a high-quality, bi-directional motor that powers our unique vibration technology to deliver up to 5,000 vibrations per minute. With light down pressure, vibrations move through the post or pile, displacing soil for a quick, easy install. The ground then tightens back around the post or pile, locking it firmly in place.

The MX Puma excavator model is compatible with any brand of excavator or backhoe, including John Deere, Bobcat, CAT, Kubota, JCB, Case, New Holland, Komatsu, Hitachi, Takeuchi, Sany, and more. It’s designed to work seamlessly with mini and midi (small to mid-sized) machines.

The Vibe Drive MX Puma requires a hydraulic flow rate between 10–26 GPM (gallons per minute). We recommend a case drain line, which the majority of excavators have, for best performance. We are able to provide an alternative hydraulic motor for the rare machines without one, though it’s not the ideal setup.

Each MX Puma model comes with a custom mounting bracket built to fit your excavator’s make and model. It connects where the bucket or other attachments normally mount. Once attached, there are typically three (3) quick-connect hoses: two (2) half-inch (½”) hydraulic pressure and return hoses—interchangeable with the bi-directional motor—and one (1) three-eighths-inch (⅜”) case drain line.

No. With thousands of Vibe Drive units in use across North America, no customers have reported vibration damage. Rubber isolator bushings separate the vibrating head from the excavator, preventing vibration transfer. Operators often comment on how smooth and quiet the cab feels while driving posts.
